Dinner at the Bei Fong house is a quiet affair. Toph lifts her soup bowl to her lips, drinking the warm liquid quietly. She holds her chopsticks daintily as she eats rice.
As the meal progresses she becomes increasingly restless, but takes great care not to show it. Her parents can't know what she's really like. They wouldn't let her continue bending. They thought her so delicate.
"What did you do today, Toph?" her father asks.
I fought men three times my size, retaining my title as the greatest Earth Bender in Gaoling.
"I studied history with Teacher," Toph replies.
