"You get what everyone gets -you get a lifetime" -Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series.
Lucius watches the moon, full and bright on his first night out of Azkaban. It casts thick shadows over the grounds surrounding Malfoy Manor. Narcissa, still beautiful, joins him on the balcony, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"We're lucky," she whispers.
Lucius sneers. "I was in Azkaban for ten years after the war. How can you call that lucky?"
Narcissa tenses. Lucius knows he's been acting too bitter since his release, and it's putting undue stress on his wife.
"We have a full, peaceful life ahead of us," she says. "Of the Death Eaters, I think we're the lucky ones."
